Rachel Posner, President

Hey y’all! My name is Rachel Posner and I am serving as the NFTY Southern President. I am a senior in high school from Baton Rouge, Louisiana. In my free time I love to read, travel, spend time with my friends and family, laugh, and do NFTY! I love NFTY-SO because it simply fits. Coming from an Episcopalian school where I am one of maybe 4 Jews combined with my Deep Southern roots, this organization has opened me up to a community that is intangibly special and unique. We understand the importance of Judaism, whether we practice regularly or not, and we understand the irreplaceable culture of the south. From laughing with my friends to working at Dream Street, NFTY-SO is my home. This year I hope to open this home to more Southern Jewish Teens and further develop our region.

Hey y'all! My name is Chelsea Deitelzweig and I'm your current Programming Vice President for NFTY-SO. I'm a NOLA girl in my senior year at Benjamin Franklin High School. NFTY has been my home for 4 years now because of all the friendships I've built with such insightful, fun, and caring people. Seeing so many Jews from the south come together as one community is what makes NFTY events some of my favorite times of the year. It has been such a privilege to be able to serve on regional board for 2 years now, and I can't wait to make an impact for the future!

Brock Jacobs, Social Action Vice President

What's up y'all?! My name is Brock Jacobs and I live in Little Rock, Arkansas. I am the Social Action Vice President this year. NFTY-So is one of the most important parts of my life because there aren't a lot of Jews at my school. NFTY-So was one of the first places that I could be my Jewish self! Being around people just like me helped me find myselfin Judaism. With each program I write, I strive to make at least on NFTYite find their identity like I did. I can't wait to see all of y'all this year!

Hey y'all! I'm Abby Craig and I'm from Brooksville, MS. I'm SO excited to serve as your 2017-2018 Membership Vice President! I love NFTY-So because not only does it give me a way to connect to my religion with my friends, but I always learn a little about myself at every event. When I'm not at a NFTY function, you can usually find me at Mississippi State sporting events or playing with my animals on my farm!! I can't wait for a great year. Gonna live and die, N-F-T-Y!

Hi y'all!! I'm Haley and I'm serving as the 2017-2018 Communications Vice President! Nothing in the world makes me happier than the friends I've made in NFTY-So and I'm so excited to be able to give that same experience to others! NFTY-So is so incredible because it allows me & other teens to find our own unique passion for Judaism! Because I'm from Florida, you can usually find me by the lake or the beach. But if I'm not there, I'm probably getting brunch or on a plane! NFTY-So is my home & I can't wait to share it with y'all

NFTY Southern is governed by a board of teen leaders who are elected by their peers that serve a one-year term. Regional board members play a critical role in all aspects of running the region including event planning and marketing, and mentoring teen leaders from our local youth communities. The regional board is mentored by a Regional Advisor who oversees all programs and administration.
